I'm Alicia Crawford and I use this blog to post my most recent art work. I am a Game Art and Design student currently at the Art Institute - Inland Empire.
Heya! I'm Peyton and I'm only 13 and I rally hope one day to be able to draw like you, you are really good at that! Can I just ask, when did you take an interest in drawing?
Hi Peyton! Thank you for the compliment! I've always loved to draw since I was a little kid. I got really serious about being an artist when I was 14 and have practiced and studied so much since then. I'm 21 now and currently working on a comic book of my own. You can check it out at the link below. I haven't uploaded the first chapter yet, but I can let you know when I do! http://www.revelationgraphicnovel.com/ If you have any other questions, just ask! :)
Cool! I've been drawing for a long time; not as long as you though Ha-ha! Other than the art institute your attending, where did you study and find out, like, how to shade right etc.. personal trial and error?
Great! I'd love to see some of your drawings if you have anything posted. I did a lot of research and study on my own before attending school. You can learn a lot by searching for tutorials online and art books. It really all came down to just practicing a lot. Draw all the time and observe everything around you. I like to study how other artists draw/paint as well. Here is a really valuable book to learn from and it's inexpensive. http://www.anatomytools.com/figure-drawing-design-and-invention-by-michael-hampton-p24.php It covers learning to draw things in perspective, which is essential, and simplifying the shapes in figures and objects. The author has been one of my instructors many times and he is fantastic! Here's a link to his website where he has some of his drawings. http://www.figuredrawing.info/
AWEEESOOOMMMME!!! Thanks soo much! And as for my art that is posted, most of it is really old and there isn't much of it on my website, but here is my best, that I have posted, it really isn't my usual style, but I thought it was my best one out of all my posts---
